SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER

Residential Care

A vacancy has arisen for the post of Senior Support Worker (40hrs) within a Residential Care Home for individuals with a learning disability in the Plymstock area of Plymouth

 Job Summary: To assist in the provision of a needs led service to adults with a learning disability by promoting a person-centred approach, fostering self-awareness, personal growth and enabling each person to have the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices

 Essential Qualifications/Attributes:

  • Diploma or NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Computer literate (Microsoft)
  • Understanding of legislation concerned with care provision.
  • Administrative experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of working within a service supporting individuals with a learning disability and an ability to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of a person-centred approach.
